Egg-CIted To Announce New Breakfast Hot Spot in Costa Mesa

Breakfast Republic just opened its second Orange County location on E 17th St. in Costa Mesa, in the former South Coast Pizza spot, locals will remember it as Me-N-Eds. The San Diego-based breakfast chain is also at University Center in Irvine. It’s a top spot to enjoy breakfast and no need to rush – they’re open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Breakfast lovers can get their fill of Classic Favorites -- burritos, chilaquiles, steak ‘n’ eggs, granola and more; Benedicts, Omelets. Scrambles, Pancakes, French Toast and all the sides you can dream of such as sausage, bacon, cinnamon ginger coffee cakes and a fruit plate.

Favorites from the menu include Shrimp & Grits, with Gouda cheese infused grits and shrimp cooked with Breakfast Republic hot sauce, fresh sweet corn and chives, served with three eggs any style. There’s also a Pancake flight mix and match from the following flavors: buttermilk, oreo cookie, bacon, churro, cinnamon roll, strawberry cheesecake, lemon coconut, and pineapple upside-down cake. And, even an excellent Vegan Jammin’ Bennie with blackberry-jalapeno jam, Italian vegan sausage mung bean egg substitute, and vegan hollandaise, served with house potatoes.

Raising the “bar” are BR’s local craft beer and organic kombucha on draft, which are available as samplers to complement many of the unique dishes they serve.
