Decorative Arts Society’s Lecture Series

The Decorative Arts Society (DARTS) is a local non-profit membership group committed to improving the lives of women and children in Orange County. Since its inception, nearly 20 years ago, they have raised more than $1.5 million for Orange County based non-profits. This is the ideal group for those who appreciate design and decoration from a historic perspective, as well as those who want to learn about current trends.

For members and guests, DARTS offers a lecture series on the decorative arts featuring experts in the fields of interior design, architecture and landscape design.

The next lecture is Tuesday, March 10 at 10 a.m. at Edwards Big Newport Theatre at in Newport Beach. The guest speaker is Olivier Bernier, a New York based lecturer, historian and author with degrees from Harvard and Institute of Fine Arts in New York.  His subject is Madame De Pompadour, Mistress of the Arts.

You can arrive anytime from 9:30 a.m. on for coffee and sweets, lecture starts at 10 a.m. and is over by about 11:30 a.m.

Guests pay $60 at door.
