Celebrate the Holidays at Discovery Cube Orange County

December 03, 2025

Discovery Cube, Southern California’s leading children’s science museum, is celebrating the season with “Holidays at the Cube,” a family-friendly lineup of festive experiences at its Santa Ana and Sylmar campuses. Guests can expect hands-on activities inspired by the sights, smells, and sounds of the holidays to spark wonder and delight for all ages.

The centerpiece of the celebration is Southern California’s largest gingerbread competition, the Science of Gingerbread. From November 22 through November 30, families are invited to submit their most imaginative gingerbread creations for a chance to be crowned one of the region’s top builders. The competition transforms the Cube into a holiday showcase of creativity and science, revealing the sweet side of STEM.

Visitors can explore the Science of Gingerbread exhibit from December 6 through January 4. The festive display features dozens of gingerbread works, including whimsical houses and scientific showpieces created by bakers, students, families, and professionals. It has become a cherished tradition for many Southern California families.
