Battle of the Chefs OC

April 16, 2018

Top chefs of OC are going head to head for the title of ultimate chef! On Tuesday, April 17, it's Battle of the Chefs Semifinal 2 featuring Chef Pascal Olhats of Pascal Restaurants challenging Chef Peter Lai of Oak Grill at Fashion Island Hotel at the Subzero and Wolf West Showroom in Costa Mesa. The show is already sold out.

The Grand Finale will take place on May 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. at AV Irvine near the Irvine Spectrum with Chef Leo Razo of Villa Roma battling a not yet named chef. It will be recorded and then aired on the Chef Life Network. Guests can join the live event by purchasing one of five different levels of seating: VIP Chefs Table, VIP Front Row, Premier, or General. Prices range from $45 to $250. Each round, a charity is chosen from a group of applicants to benefit from the event.

The chefs will be donating their time, talent and treasures to battle for the title of OC’s best Chef and to make their community a better place. The expert panel will critique the chef’s performance, but all voting is done by the studio audience. The chefs will be given a topic for battle: paella, street food, pasta, etc. The chefs will then prepare their interpretation of this dish for 250 guests of the audience, who will then vote for which chef they believe should advance in the competition.

AV Irvine is at 16500 Scientific Way in Irvine.
