We’re not complaining that dining choices are exploding at Irvine Spectrum Center. Just in the last few months you can taste award-winning barbecue at the new Wood Ranch BBQ; choose from more than 100 made to order types of Chinese dim sum at the new Capital Seafood Restaurant;  and now Orange County’s first Paul Martin’s American Bistro opened at the Irvine Spectrum.  Renowned restaurateurs Paul Fleming (of P. Tesla Zooms Into Fashion Island

Tonight, California-based Tesla Motors store opens the doors of a new showroom at Fashion Island from 5 to 9 p.m. The innovative car company, known for its electric supercar, will be unveiling the beta version of Tesla’s premium sedan, Model S, due out mid- 2012. The Model S seats five adults and two children and offers three battery packs with a 160-, 230- or 300-mile range. Any conventional outlet can charge the car, and there’s a fast charge option that takes just 45 minutes.
