Why I Am Walking Alzheimer’s OC Walk4ALZ & Run4ALZ on March 19

January 28, 2022

For the first time, I’ll be walking in the Alzheimer's Orange County Walk4ALZ & Run4ALZ on March 19 at the Angel Stadium in Anaheim. I am walking in memory of a dear friend’s mom who had dementia and for the 84,000 people living with Alzheimer’s in Orange County.

For anyone affected by Alzheimer’s or dementia in Orange County, Alzheimer’s Orange County is “a lifesaver” according to my friend who was so grateful for their services during her mom’s illness.

What does Alzheimer’s Orange County do? They provide brain health and dementia education, care consultations, community connections, residential memory care resources, adult day health services, and much more.

In 2021 alone, they changed the lives of over 34,000 people in Orange County.

Supporting their walk will help continue to touch more people and create that change.

Alzheimer’s Orange County’s Walk4ALZ & Run4ALZ is the largest walk and 5K in Orange County. Money raised from the event directly funds services and programs to help those living with memory loss, Alzheimer's, and other types of dementia. 100% of funds raised stay local in Orange County, for Orange County families.

It’s so easy to sign up for the Walk4ALZ & Run4ALZ and start fundraising. You can even share it on social media, or easily send emails to your contacts. You can sign up now at www.alzoc.org/walk, or support my team at https://alzoc.rallybound.org/walkrun/greerwylder

Thank you very much for your consideration.
