We Love Poke Festival in OC

In celebration of all things poke, the I Love Poke Festival returns on Monday, June  30 from 6 to 9 p.m. at a new venue, the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach. The foodie festival and chef competition will feature more than 20 well-known chefs and restaurants offering attendees unlimited tastings of Hawaiian and Asian-inspired dishes.

Traditional Hawaiian plate lunches and offerings will be provided by Hula Girls Shave IceDough Dough's MalasadasL& L Hawaiian Barbecue IrvineSnowflakesSambazonKing's HawaiianAdobo Loco and Manila Sky.

Featured competitors in the culinary battle for the title of “Best Poke will also be available for attendees to sample. A few of the competitors include:
Hapa J's – Chef Justin Shea (Previous I Love Poke San Diego Pokeland winner and first time competitor of I Love Poke Orange County)
370 Common / Primo Beer – Chef James Harris (Previous I Love Poke San Diego Pokeland winner)
North Shore Poke Co. – Chef Shawn Gole
Shades Restaurant & Bar at The Waterfront Beach Resort – Executive Chef Ben La Fleche
Home Chef – Orange County resident Chris Lin

In addition to the battle for “Best Poke” and unlimited tastings from popular chefs and restaurants, the event will also feature a special performance by internationally acclaimed Hawaiian musician and ukulele extraordinaire, Troy Fernandez.
