New Seasonal Menu Items at True Food Kitchen

September 01, 2017

Even though Labor Day is around the corner, we can still enjoy summer's seasonal foods. One of our favorite summer additions are at True Food Kitchen at Fashion Island in Newport Beach. The menu highlights ingredients with natural health benefits based on the principals of Dr. Andrew Weil’s anti-inflammatory diet.

At lunch and dinner you can enjoy an Heirloom & Watermelon salad with Marcona almond, white balsamic and chevre; an Heirloom Tomato Pizza with grilled artichoke, roasted garlic, vegan almond ricotta, black truffle; and Pan Roasted Chicken with corn, green chickpea, Fresno chili, feta, and cilantro pumpkin seed pesto.

New brunch offerings include a Vanilla Oat & Seed Bowl with rolled oats, honey, nuts, seeds, seasonal fruit, almond butter toast; and Pineapple & Orange Mimosa (replaces Honey Grapefruit Mimosa); and Egg Sandwich; and Quinoa Johnny Cakes (served with blueberries vs. banana).

New drinks include a Watermelon Mojito with rum, mint, pineapple, lime; and Cherry Bourbon Sour -- bourbon, lemon, cherry bitters, pinot noir float.

The new Kids menu item is Almond Butter, Banana and Strawberry Sandwich (an update from apple to strawberry).

Open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 11a.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Brunch is served 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; Happy Hour from 3 to 6 p.m.
