The Art of the Cure: Every Picture Tells a Story

Join us for “The Art of the Cure: Every Picture Tells a Story,” the 8th Annual Celebrate the UC Irvine Health Diabetes Center cocktail party and fundraiser at the Orange County Museum of Art on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 5:30 p.m.  You are invited to spend an evening mingling with new friends and familiar faces while exploring the museum’s latest exhibition and learning about the Center’s innovative research. More than 90% of the proceeds raised directly benefit research conducted at the UC Irvine Health Diabetes Center.

There will be artfully prepared dining stations, fine chocolate from Valenza Chocolatier, select wine and beer pairing, silent auction, opportunity drawing, research update and live entertainment.

Back by popular demand, there will be a prize wheel! You can take a spin and go home with one of many prizes including restaurant gift certificates, spa treatments, tickets to amusement parks and sporting events, and much more!

Tickets cost $150 per person.

Cheese Classes at The Cellar with Starr

Here’s your chance to learn from a pro about all things cheese with cheese master, Starr Cornwall at two upcoming cheese classes at the Cellar in San Clemente.

On Saturday, Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. it’s Cheese for Breakfast.
Expand your culinary horizons by adding cheese to your breakfast. You can experience fun and inventive ways to put cheese on your breakfast table.
Arrive hungry, there will be a four course pairing cheese and breakfast.

On Saturday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. it’s Know Your Cheese.
You can learn the basics and then some. Starr will explain how cheese is made, the way it’s categorized and how it benefits you. You will leave knowing how to identify, shop, and care for your cheeses. The class includes cheese tasting and Champagne.
