Takács Quartet Returns to Samueli Theater
The Takács Quartet, accompanied by award-winning pianist Marc-André Hamelin, will return to the Samueli Theater on January 27th at 7:30 p.m. Their performance, described as "powered by shimmering detail" by The Guardian, promises an evening of musical excellence. This renowned quartet, consisting of Edward Dusinberre (violin), Harumi Rhodes (violin), Richard O’Neill (viola), and Andras Fejer (cello), is celebrated for their vibrant interpretations.
In 2021, they won the 4th Gramophone Classical Music Award for Chamber Music and earned the prestigious distinction of being the first string quartet inducted into the Gramophone Hall of Fame.
Pianist Marc-André Hamelin, hailed by The New York Times as a "performer of near-superhuman technical prowess," is known worldwide for his exceptional musicianship and dazzling technique in performing classical masterpieces.
