Bistro Papillote Brings Authentic French Cuisine to Costa Mesa

This April, Bistro Papillote by La Cuisine at The OC Mix at SOCO will take over the previous Seventh Tea Bar space, and will offer full service breakfast and lunch, including Chef Laurent’s interpretation of quiches, crepes, Croque-Monsieur, and grab-and-go sandwiches and salads. At the open-air crepe bar, guests will be able to watch as delicious, fresh crepes are prepared right in front of them. Chef Laurent has been waiting almost four years to find the perfect location for a bistro - of course The OC Mix fit the bill beautifully! We can’t wait to enjoy a little slice of Paris right here in Orange County.

Lord of the Strings Music Spectacular

Get into the aloha spirit with a live concert by “slack key” aficionados Jim “Kimo” West and Ken Emerson on Sunday, April 12 at 3 p.m., as part of the center’s ongoing Lord of The Strings series. Kimo’s Hawaiian-inspired sounds can be heard in the music of Grammy-winning satirist Weird Al Jankovic and the unique blend of sound and style from these two artists creates a relaxing and inspiring melody. While at the concert, guests will also enjoy a Hawaiian-inspired menu from Shuck Oyster Bar and delicious wine selections from LCA Wine. Tickets are available online for $30 at lordofthestringsconcerts.com.

Ripple Kids in Action

Help make the Orange County a better place while having fun with the whole family at Ripple Kids in Action at SOCO on April 26, 2015 from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. This free event will offer kids an assortment of fun, hands-on service projects like planting milkweed for monarch butterflies, making toys for shelter animals, or packing birthday party kits for children in need. Guests will also enjoy live music from OC’s School of Rock youth music academy, delicious food, and pet adoption opportunities through Barks of Love Animal Rescue. To RSVP, visit RippleKidsSOCO15
