Segerstrom Center Unveils 2023-2024 Season: Dance, Headliners, & Conversations

Segerstrom Center for the Arts is delighted to announce an extraordinary lineup of captivating dance performances, mesmerizing headliner shows, and engaging conversations that will leave audiences inspired and enthralled. Returning by popular demand, these series genres offer an immersive experience through season ticket subscriptions. Featuring a mix of beloved favorites and exciting new productions, the upcoming engagements promise unforgettable moments for audiences of all ages.

The Dance series continues on November 4th and 5th, 2023, Turn It Out with Tiler Peck will take the stage. Vanity Fair hails Tiler Peck as "The most magical dancer of our time." As the principal dancer with New York City Ballet, Peck will dazzle audiences with her dynamic artistry and impeccable technique, which has garnered international acclaim.

Prepare to be transported to a world of magic and wonder as American Ballet Theatre presents the beloved holiday classic, The Nutcracker, from December 8th to 17th, 2023. With exquisite choreography, lavish sets, and Tchaikovsky's timeless score, this enchanting production will captivate viewers of all ages. On January 20, 2024, the renowned Alonzo King LINES Ballet returns, taking audiences on a profound and transformative journey. Led by artistic director Jean-Christophe Maillot, Les Ballets de Monte Carlo will present Coppél-i.A from March 7th to 10th, 2024, offering a romantic piece infused with their unique blend of classical and contemporary ballet.

From April 11th to 14th, 2024, American Ballet Theatre's Mixed Repertory will showcase an eclectic program that highlights the company's extraordinary versatility and artistry. This captivating showcase is a testament to the immense talent and creativity of American Ballet Theatre's dancers and choreographers.

Additionally, Segerstrom Center takes pride in presenting a thrilling lineup of headliners throughout the season. On September 29, 2023, in Get Happy: Jessica Vosk, we commemorate the life and legacy of the iconic Judy Garland. Jessica Vosk, known for her powerful vocals and captivating stage presence, will honor Garland's timeless repertoire in a performance that promises to be truly remarkable.

Join A Broadway Birthday! Sondheim, Lloyd Webber and Friends on March 2, 2024, to celebrate the extraordinary contributions of Stephen Sondheim and Andrew Lloyd Webber. This star-studded production will feature a dazzling array of performances, showcasing beloved songs from their iconic shows. From "Phantom of the Opera" to "Sweeney Todd," and "Cats" to "Into the Woods," this spectacular event will transport audiences to the heart of Broadway, celebrating the remarkable achievements of these legendary composers and their influential works.

On Thursday, November 2, 2023, experience an intimate and captivating evening with the Broadway icon, Mandy Patinkin, in Concert: BEING ALIVE. From Tony Award-winning songs to cherished classics, and even some of his own remarkable recordings, Patinkin will offer a glimpse into the depths of his soul through an unforgettable performance.

The In Conversation series returns this season, offering a unique opportunity to engage in captivating discussions with esteemed authors, delving into their literary journeys, creative processes, and the power of storytelling. Join Tara Westover, author of the critically acclaimed memoir "Educated,"on September 20, 2023 as she shares her inspiring story of self-discovery, the transformative power of education, and the resilience of the human spirit. Known for his masterful storytelling and richly developed characters, Amor Towles on November 6, 2023, will take the audience on a literary journey through his captivating narratives and explore the themes of love, friendship, and the complexities of human relationships.

 On February 5, 2023, Kristin Hannah, beloved author of compelling novels such as "Firefly Lane" and "The Great Alone," will be welcomed back to her home of Orange County to share her insights into her powerful storytelling and her ability to create immersive and emotionally resonant worlds. On April 29, 2024 Michael Pollan, renowned author of bestsellers like "The Omnivore's Dilemma" and "In Defense of Food," will conclude the series with his fascinating exploration of food, nature, and the human connection to the natural world.
