Negroni Week at the Blind Pig

June 01, 2015

The Blind Pig in Rancho Santa Margarita is doing its part for Imbibe Magazine’s Negroni Week from June 1-7. The Blind Pig will donate a portion of the proceeds from each Negroni sold this week to local OC charity Miracles for Kids, serving children with life-threatening illnesses and their families by operating programs that provide financial aid, housing, and more.

The Mestizo Negroni is made with capurro pisco, calisaya, byrrh and a grapefruit peel garnish.

The gastropub is open for lunch and dinner and features new American cuisine paired with a selection of wines and craft beers, cocktails and beverages.

Some of our favorite menu items include croque monsieur with cheddar mornay, shallot marmalade and mortadella ($13); the fried chicken frisee with strawberry gastrique, warm potato salad and arugula puree ($21); the bison burger with arugula, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, spicy aioli ($15, and add fries for $2.50. We also love the brussels sprouts with scallions, chive oil, crispy shallots, burnt onion and sour cream ($11); and for dessert, the affogato, financier cake with espresso and vanilla ice cream ($9).

Open noon to 10 p.m. Tuesday; noon to midnight Wednesday to Thursday; noon to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Happy Hour is from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
