Hot Summer Jazz Series at Casino San Clemente
Casino San Clemente presents its Hot Summer Jazz series roster of award-winning talent starting July 11 on alternating Wednesday evenings through September 19. “At a $10. entrance fee for live jazz seaside”, says Elizabeth Lamers, renown jazz vocalist, “It’s the best deal in town for summer entertainment.”
Jim Zeigler, cornet player, and vocalist, and his band the Swingstations kicks off the series on July 11. Future artists on the lineup include Tony Guerrero, trumpet, scheduled on July 25 and just returned from a national tour with Jane Lynch. Unique and powerful vocals from Mel Collins on August 8 are sure to win yet another standing ovation from the Casino audience.
New to the jazz series is Gina Saputo, LA-based phenomenal vocalist singing American songbook favorites. Elizabeth Lamers performs September 5 with her expert backup band highlighting her silky vocals in a relaxed Nat King Cole set. Closing out the series September 19 is favorite Tim Gill on trumpet, with his rousing and engaging quartet for pure jazz entertainment and lighthearted fun.
Casino owner Linda Sadeghi invites all patrons of the nearby Farmers Market to stop by for an evening of live jazz just a few steps away on summer Wednesdays. “We are blessed to have an amazing array of award-winning jazz artists willing to come to South County for performances – please help us support the arts and the legacy of entertainment in North Beach!”

Chef Jim at California Fresh Catering presents a specialized summer jazz menu including a new charcuterie plate to share OR BBQ summer salad topped with Memphis rubbed chicken breast or roasted salmon, grilled asparagus and thyme potatoes and homemade dessert for only $15 (pre-ordered in advance).
Doors open at 6 p.m., live music 6:30 to 9 p.m. with cash bar and summer dinners available (by pre-order).
