Happy Birthday City of Costa Mesa! You’re 60 & Fabulous

In celebration of Costa Mesa’s 60th Anniversary, get ready for a huge 3-day festival kicking off Friday at 5 p.m. through Sunday featuring art, food, and more than 30 artists performing over 3 days and on 3 stages. And get this, admission is free! The festivities will take place on at City Hall and on Fair Drive.

Concert tickets for performers including Wanda Jackson, Eric Burdon & The Animals, Berlin, and Chevy Metal are on sale now! One-day passes cost $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event. Daily tickets for children 6-12 cost $10 while kids 5 and under are free. Three-day passes are $50, in advance. Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketfly.com.

Twenty local restaurants will be serving up foods at TasteFest, as well as a beer and wine garden. Other festivities include a classic car show featuring more than 100 vintage cars, an art walk showcasing local talent; and a kidzone for kids of all ages to enjoy rides, games, art, puppeteers and more.

Open 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, 3 to 11 p.m. Saturday; noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Balboa Bay Club turns 65!

Today marks the 65th anniversary since the Balboa Bay Club first opened its doors! The celebration is private to members. However, it’s still a historic day for the only waterfront resort in Newport Beach that’s seen many changes over the decades including the transition from a private members only club, to include a full-service waterfront resort.

Today the private club is simply known as Balboa Bay Club, and the resort Balboa Bay Resort.  It's is the only AAA Four Diamond rated, full-service waterfront resort in Newport Beach with 160 guest rooms and suites and spans more than 15 waterfront acres.
