April 09, 2024

Wahoo’s Fish Taco, the iconic chain hailing from Southern California renowned for its original fish taco and Pacific-inspired cuisine, proudly introduces a refined and elevated brand identity. With a fresh tagline, updated store design, and revamped logo, Wahoo’s embarks on a new era while commemorating its 35th anniversary.

Embracing the ethos of "Living the Wahoo’s Way," the brand preserves its roots in vibrant Southern California beach culture while infusing a modern twist into its nearly 60-unit chain. The refreshed store design promises fully renovated interiors adorned with contemporary décor and upscale finishes, maintaining the youthful charm that has defined Wahoo’s since its inception in 1988. Amidst these changes, the commitment to serving freshly made, Pacific-inspired fare remains unwavering.

The restaurant renovations stand as the centerpiece of Wahoo’s new image, boasting fully revitalized interiors featuring updated flooring, countertops, and modern design elements. With three Orange County locations already refurbished and four more slated for completion by year's end, Wahoo’s continues its journey towards modernization.

Accompanying the physical transformations is Wahoo’s new tagline, "Living the Wahoo’s Way," symbolizing a lifestyle choice characterized by joyous experiences and the pursuit of excellence. Evoking imagery of catching the perfect wave or savoring a delectable meal crafted from premium ingredients, this motto encapsulates the essence of Wahoo’s for generations to come.

Established in 1988 by brothers Wing Lam, Ed Lee, and Mingo Lee, Wahoo’s draws inspiration from their diverse upbringing in Brazil, surf adventures in Baja California, and family legacy in the restaurant industry. From the classic fish tacos to signature bowls, Wahoo’s remains committed to using only the finest ingredients, ensuring unparalleled freshness with every bite.

To celebrate "Living the Wahoo’s Way," the brand introduces two Plate Specials at participating locations. Available for a limited time, guests can indulge in a One or Two Taco Plate Special, featuring their choice of taco, accompanied by rice, beans, salsa, a side of chips, and a regular drink, starting at $13. This offering embodies the essence of Wahoo’s – delivering fresh, Pacific-inspired cuisine to be enjoyed after a day of adventure with loved ones.
