Bargain Groceries Galore
So we had to experience the new Grocery Outlet Bargain Market at the Costa Mesa Courtyards ourselves this morning and here’s what we discovered: it’s no Bristol Farms, but you can save on some premium products and the checkers are big on shouting out to everyone how much you saved! On your receipt, the amount you saved will be printed out—the cost difference had you shopped at another market.
We bought a giant bottle of sulfate free EO Essentials Shampoo for just $7.99! (Suddenly, sulfates are like gluten, and no one wants anything to do with them. Plus, you’ll pay a premium to avoid sulfates.) That same 32 oz. bottle costs $23 on Amazon.
Grocery Outlet has what you’d expect from a grocery store—dairy, meats, produce, beer, wine and much more--and they advertise that you’ll save 40-70% on average. And, here’s the thing, bargains will go fast, so if you like something, stock up.
On Saturday, December 5, Grocery Outlet will celebrate its grand opening with all kinds of specials and hoopla. Starting at 8 a.m. they are giving out free reusable bags to the first 500 customers, free coffee and treats; from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. you can spin a wheel to win bargains; 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. $1 hot dogs and drinks; and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. free face painting, balloons, and shoppers can play “magic cart” and win every 30 minutes. And, the first 100 families will win a free Jamestown Bone-In Spiral Half Ham.
