A New Light And Airy Antonello

July 26, 2016

After nearly 40 years, Antonello Ristorante at South Coast Plaza Village--one of Orange County’s premier Italian dining destinations---just introduced a refresh. Its Old World ambience with dim lighting, muted carpeting, dark leather chairs and dated upholstery is now light and airy. Antonello 2.0 is a new era marked by light-colored walls; distressed reclaimed wood accents; ledge-stone arches and walls; starburst chandeliers and wall sconces; as well as new carpeting and reupholstery.

“As we venture into our fourth decade, we wanted to transform the restaurant in keeping with today’s standards,” said chef/owner Antonio Cagnolo. “In addition to the design, we will be announcing updates to our menu in the coming weeks.”

Chefs Salvatore Ferrara and Gino Buonanoce work with Cagnolo to develop daily specials and special prix fixe menus many paired with wines and other spirits.  The dishes feature high flavor profiles, organic ingredients and light approach to preparing them.

Antonello Ristorante is at 3800 Plaza Drive, at South Coast Plaza Village. 714.751.7153.
