Quite possibly one of the best beauty supply store chains we’ve seen, Planet Beauty, is celebrating the holidays with a charity event at its Newport Beach location on Jamboree to benefit JDRF on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. This would be your chance to stock up on the best in skincare, shampoos, make up, candles, nail care, bath and body and buy fantastic holiday gifts like a Clarisonic holiday pack, a Grace set, a beautiful Stila star compact, and a L’Occitane hand cream set. Help Sweet Rescue

The District at Tustin Legacy hosts a festive evening of desserts and holiday drinks from participating restaurants on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. to support Sweet Rescue. With the help of OC community groups, Sweet Rescue contributes to freeing women and children caught in human trafficking.

The charity event will also feature entertainment by Mike Isberto and James Rensink. Sweet Rescue is raising support for the A21 Campaign, My Global Family. These groups focus on women and children in sexual slavery, providing physical, emotional and holistic restoration. Suggested $10 donation per person at entry.

The District at Tustin Legacy (event will take place at the AMC Tustin 14 Courtyard) is at 2437 Park Avenue in Tustin.
