A Find at Hidden Vine

May 03, 2013

Celebrate the grand reopening of A Hidden Vine on the Lake on Saturday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Lake Mission Viejo. The wine tasting room and retail shop, formerly known as La Maison Gourmet Wine & Cheese Shop, is under new ownership. The event will include live music, discounts on wine tastings featuring boutique wines from Torrey Wines and Majestic Wines, and samples of gourmet artisan cheeses and charcuterie. Guests must be over 21. Also, a portion of any purchases of wine or raffle tickets will benefit the American Cancer Society, a cause near and dear to the new owners' hearts.

New owners Marty Cruz, a sommelier, and Ken Domagalski, have expanded the offering of wine, champagne and dessert wines at the shop to include rare vintages and small release wines, and installed Napa Technology wine stations that allow 12 bottles of wine to be showcased and kept at ideal temperatures.

A Hidden Vine offers more than 650 wine labels, and an extensive variety of gourmet cheeses, meats, and pate, most of which are imported and hard to find. Charcuterie platters are available to complement wine tasting. Stop in anytime for wine tasting or reserve a spot Friday at 6:30 p.m. for wine tastings that will include winery representatives, winemakers, as well as winery proprietors.

A Hidden Vine also offers Happy Hour on Saturdays from 4 to 8 p.m. includes special pricing on select wines and live music from 6 p.m.

Open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 12 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
