2019 Philharmonic House of Design
The Philharmonic Society of Orange County announces its 26th Philharmonic House of Design: a 7,200 sq. ft. Hamptons-style masterpiece located in the guarded coastal community of Monarch Point, perched high atop the bluff of Laguna Niguel mountain and offering panoramic vistas of Three Arch Bay’s Whitecaps, Catalina Island, and beyond.
Interior designers from across Southern California transformed this East Coast-inspired home into a stunning masterpiece. The Philharmonic House of Design is sponsored by Coast Magazine/Southern California News Group and South Coast Plaza.
The House will be open for public tours Tuesday, May 14, through Sunday, June 9.
The home tour includes extended hours on Thursday evenings for “Meet the Designers.” The festive Premiere Night, featuring the first showing of the House as well as cocktails and light bites, takes place on Saturday, May 11. Tickets are now on sale to the public and are $40 (general admission) and $50 (House Pass, unlimited entry). Proceeds benefit the Philharmonic Society’s nationally recognized Youth Music Education Programs.
Situated on a palatial 31,000 sq. ft. lot, this year’s House of Design has its own private gate, which encapsulates a circular motor-court. Home features include a chef’s kitchen, a sauna and steam showers, rich hand-finished paneling, beautiful fireplaces, and a luxury guest house.
This already spectacular home will undergo fresh renovations as acclaimed interior designers from across Southern California reinvent spaces with the latest interior design trends, transforming this home into a fabulous retreat.
The House of Design is not handicap accessible. Visitors are advised to wear flat shoes only. Photography, baby carriers, strollers, and backpacks are not permitted in the House.

Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thurs: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for “Meet the Designers”; Sun: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Closed Mondays.
SHUTTLE & PARKING
Free parking is available at Strand Vista Park, and continuous complimentary shuttles will run from the parking lot to the House. Strand Vista Park is located at 34111 Selva Road in Dana Point.
