Tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Mary & Dick Allen Diabetes Center at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, join award-winning documentary filmmakers Lisa Hepner and Guy Mossman of Vox Pop Films for an evening of art, film and discussion about exciting developments in the quest to cure type 1 diabetes. Orange County’s newest ocean-themed attraction, ExplorOcean/Newport Harbor Nautical Museum in Newport Beach is offering free preview tours Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guests can find out about the recently unveiled plans for the Fun Zone, and sample appetizer from the new Peter’s Gourmade Grill celebrating its grand opening.
