Mummy Undergoes 3D Scan in OC

Scientists are performing a virtual autopsy today at the Orange County Global Medical Center on one of the mummies in the Mummies of the World: The Exhibition at Bowers Museum. Anthropologist and Mummy Expert Ildiko Szikossy and Dr. Linda Sutherland are using state-of-the art 3D CT scan technology — a procedure never before conducted on a human mummy at Orange County Global Medical Center, the oldest hospital in Orange County.
