The Literacy Project Celebrates 10 Years

Newport Beach-based The Literacy Project (TLP), a nonprofit organization enabling disadvantaged youth to increase their reading skill levels, is celebrating 10 years of achievement throughout September, which is also National Literacy Month. Over the past decade, The Literacy Project has helped over 9,000 struggling students learn how to read through a one-of-a-kind program that is provided at no cost to the students or schools. The Literacy Project currently serves school districts throughout Orange and Los Angeles counties, the Coachella Valley, and recently crossed state lines to support southern Utah. The second annual CASA Rocks in Newport Beach will be celebrated on Saturday, September 21, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at elysewalker in Newport Beach.
