You Need A Holiday!

The newest social cocktail lounge in OC, Holiday in Westside Costa Mesa will open Friday, July 15 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. With a throwback to the classic cocktail era--a dimmed ambiance and atmospheric music--it’s the place for an enticing evening experience out on the town. It will offer a sultry blend of craft libations, late night gourmet snacks, and nightly entertainment.

Holiday is the newest concept from the Social Management Group (SMG) operators and promoters of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and special events. The group has also developed Sutra Nightclub, Bassmnt NightClub and La Vida Cantina to name a few.

Holiday took over the former Lion’s Den Nightclub on West 19th Street in Costa Mesa. From the exterior, you’ll see a discreet entry, but once inside, Holiday’s interior is inspired by a French country plantation house circa 1900s, complete with plush lounge seating, a hand crafted wood carved bar, dance floor and stage for entertainment.

You can come in for nightly musical performances, thought provoking spoken word or unexpected entertainment. Holiday is on a mission to take you back in time to the classic cocktail lounge social era.

The cocktail menu will include craft classics including an Old Fashion, Manhattan, Whiskey Mule and Sazerac. For a spirited twist, order the “On Holiday” with rye, ginger, orange juice, Angostura bitters and soda or the “Gatsby” with Goose, coconut water, Falernum, lime and cinnamon syrup.

Cocktails can be paired with Holiday’s late night snack menu. Select from a sampling of gourmet grilled cheeses that span The Pilgrim with Gouda, cranberry sauce, Dijon mustard, spinach and smoked turkey on honey wheat to Southern Hospitality with American, cheddar and macaroni cheese, bacon and pulled pork on buttermilk white.

Complimentary fresh popcorn will be served table side with assorted seasonings including sour cream and onion, Buffalo and blue cheese, smoked bacon or Cajun. For those with a sweet tooth try The Nut with Nutella and fried bananas on sweet Hawaiian bread.

Open 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

721 W. 19th St. in Costa Mesa. 949.278.8728.
