Two to Tango at Cafe Jardin
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, diners looking for more than a romantic dinner, can experience Café Jardin’s Two to Tango! created by award-winning chef and restaurateur, Pascal Olhats along with entertainment from vibrant tango dancers.
Two to Tango! is a sumptuous 4-course prix-fixe menu at Café Jardin within Sherman Library Gardens in Corona del Mar with performances throughout the evening by professional tango dancers, both Saturday, Feb. 13 and Sunday, Feb. 14, from 5 to 8 p.m.
“The ’Two to Tango’ menu I’ve created especially for Valentine’s Day is meant to mirror the iconic association of certain foods,” says Pascal. “It’s a purposeful play on words reflecting couples, partners, dancing and food, how they can come together to create something magical.”
Menu selections include an Amuse Bouche with baked brie toast with oven roasted tomato; Yin & Yang, a red and yellow roasted pepper soup with olive tapenade oil; or red and yellow steamed beet salad, feta cheese and toasted hazelnut; Surf & Turf, a sautéed beef rib eye and grilled prawn shallot and Béarnaise sauce, or River & Ocean, with pan seared halibut and smoked trout filet, chive and dill beurre blanc; or Sweet & Sour, with roasted duck breast served with sautéed brussels sprouts, orange burgundy vinegar sauce. Dessert is a white and dark chocolate mousse cake with berry compote.
Pricing is $80 per person and there is a $5 per person contribution added to each check for the Sherman Gardens Foundation in support of the Tango dancers.
Café Jardin is at Sherman Library & Gardens, 2647 E. Coast Highway, Corona del Mar. 949.673.0033.
