The Best of Peruvian Cuisine in Long Beach

Discover some of the best in Peruvian foods at Aji Peruvian Cuisine at Long Beach's thriving Retro Row. It’s also a great dining choice to visit during Dine Out Long Beach Restaurant Week on Sunday, Feb. 24 through Saturday, March 2. The special three-course prix-fixe menu is just $35, and you’ll get a delicious sampling of the tastes and colors of Peru.

First Course choices include Solterito de Quinua, Golden Beet Salad, Papa Rellena de Carne, Anticucho de Carne, Causa Cocktail, or Ceviche Moderno.

Second Course choices include Ají de Gallina, Arrocito Norteño, Shrimp Chaufa, Seco de Res, and Aji’s most popular dish, Lomito Saltado, sautéed beef tenderloin, with onions, tomatoes, cilantro, hand-cut fries and steamed rice.

Third Course choices include Flan Picarones, Lúcuma Ice Cream, Flourless Chocolate Cake

Designed with a social dining experience in mind, Aji’s dishes are meant to be shared in a true Peruvian fashion. Chef Mitto creates irresistible specials every weekend, which he complements with a wide selection of wines from all of the world. Aji also offers 16 craft brews on tap and by the bottle that rotate frequently. The rustic but contemporary ambiance is perfect for group celebrations, date night or even the solo nightcap.

Open 5 to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 5 to 10 p.m. Friday; 5 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday; 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
