Pageant of the Masters Casting Call on Greer’s SoCal Show

January 25, 2019

Have you ever dreamed about being a cast member in Pageant of the Masters? Ever since I was a kid and my friend was in the show, I’ve wanted to do it. It seemed like a being a part of living art in perfect re-creations of works of art, would be a magical, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Just recently, for the first time, I went to a casting call for the Pageant of the Masters production of “The Time Machine” running July 7 to Aug. 31 in the hopes of being one of 500 people chosen. I found out that 1,300 are also vying to be in the show. Children as young as four years old to people in their late 80s come from all over Orange County and as far as Los Angeles and San Diego to try out. To make it into the show, it’s all about your size—and you will be measured like never before—30 measurements taken in all. You have to be able to fit perfectly into a work of art that will be painstakingly recreated on the stage.

You can watch the process and behind-the-scenes of the casting all on Greer’s SoCal Show here.

If you missed the last casting call, there’s still hope for you. One more chance casting call is coming up on Thursday, March 14 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

In the meantime, I’ll wait to see if my measurements will make it into Pageant of the Masters,The Time Machine” that will take audiences around the globe and into the past, present and future in search of great art and amazing stories. Inspired by science fiction and steampunk fantasies, "The Time Machine" will be a ticket to thrills, laughter, beautiful music and extraordinary living art under the stars.

The 2019 Pageant of the Masters will be staged July 7 through August 31. Ticket prices range from $15 to $230. Tickets are on sale now by calling 1-800-487-3378 or online at PageantTickets.com
