HomeAid OC Builders for Babies at Angel Stadium
HomeAid Orange County, together with the Children and Families Commission of Orange County, are holding the 9th Annual HomeAid Essentials donation drive to collect diapers and other essential items for babies, led by Honorary Chair Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens, from April 29 – May 8, 2016.
Essentials donations allow recipient agencies to save funds, so that they can support programs that help their clients achieve self-sufficiency and lead productive, independent lives. On average, diapers, wipes and care items cost over $1,000 per year for one child.
On Friday, April 29, HomeAid Orange County will host the 2nd Annual “Builders for Babies” event at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. Homebuilders and community groups will construct structures out of diaper boxes that will be judged by local celebrities and community leaders. HomeAid aims to collect over one million diapers during the event and encourages the public to drop off diaper donations between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Items collected will be distributed to non-profit providers who operate housing and shelters built in partnership with HomeAid Orange County to serve homeless families and pregnant mothers.
You can help, too! Join the movement today and help homeless families living in shelters by running a drive, collecting donations or contributing. Public donation drop off locations are located throughout Orange County.
A complete list of drop off locations and more information about the donation drive is available at www.homeaidessentials.org.
