DISTILLED CALIFORNIA: AN IMBIBED HISTORY AT BOWERS MUSEUM IN SANTA ANA

May 19, 2021

Join Dylan Almendral, Gentleman Historian, and Ryan Friesen, Distiller Extraordinaire from Blinking Owl Distillery in Santa Ana on Saturday, May 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. for Distilled California: An Imbibed History at Bowers Museum in Sant Ana. It’s an evening of libations and laughs as they dive into the rich legacy of subtle inebriation in Orange County with its beginnings as a premier wine region of California, prior to Northern California's rise to fame.

Learn about Orange County's boozy history prior to 1900, and the technology and techniques of distilling while viewing the Bowers' historic brandy still, formerly owned by Mr. and Mrs. John Forster.

The program will include access to the Bowers' Historic Wing galleries as well as a special brandy cocktail, Camino Viejo, crafted by the Blinking Owl bar team.

6 p.m. Doors/Tangata Restaurant, Exhibits, and Gallery Store Open
