Catalina Express and Hotels Offer Best of Winter Mid-Week Packages

Now through March 17, 2023, Catalina Express and hotel partners offer combination boat and accommodations packages at more than 10 hotels in Avalon as part of its popular annual “Best of Winter” offering. 

With activities galore to experience from Eco tours into Catalina’s interiorand undersea adventures in a semi-submersible submarine, to kayaking, parasailing, hiking, and enjoying the myriad shops and boutiques, many with locally made products, there’s no reason not to stay a night or two in Avalon. 

With events such as several viewings of A Christmas Carol in the historic Avalon theater, the 49th annual New Year's Eve celebration in the Casino Ballroom, Avalon 50K/50 Mile Run on January 7, 40th Annual Avalon Harbor Underwater Cleanup on February 25, to the California Trail Marathon Championship on March 11, there’s plenty of things to see and do.

Catalina Canyon Inn 

Escape to gorgeous. Located just minutes from downtown Avalon, Catalina Canyon Inn immerses your senses in the beauty of nature and indulges your every need with an experience that is a step above the rest.

The Best of Winter Package includes:

  • Round-trip transportation aboard Catalina Express for two
  • Enjoy the hotel’s heated swimming pool
  • Complimentary shuttle transportation

Rates start at $139 per person, double occupancy, plus tax, for a savings of up to 50 percent. You must travel to Catalina Sunday – Thursday and return Monday – Friday. Valid for stays Sunday – Thursday, through March 17, 2023. Based on availability, some restrictions may apply. Hotel Vista Del Mar

Rates start at $175 per person, per night, double occupancy, plus tax for a savings of up to $167 per stay. Offer is valid for stays through March 17, 2023, Sunday – Thursday. Subject to availability. The rate is based on a two-night stay in a Courtyard Room and round-trip boat transportation for two on the Catalina Express from Long Beach/San Pedro. Packages are based on double occupancy and cannot be applied to existing reservations. Transportation from Dana Point will be an additional $4 per person. All stays require a 2-night minimum.
