When it comes to reviewing tequila, we’re naïve. Yes, we’ve had our share of tequila shots, margaritas and tequila sunrises (in the 80s!), and even  sipped and ate our way through delicious tequila dinners at Sol Cocina and tastings at Hi-Time in Costa Mesa. However, we hardly could call ourselves tequila experts. We leave that to the good people who actually live the life, visit  distilleries and agave fields in Mexico, can taste the difference between tequila that is made from lowland and highland agave plants, and take the time to enjoy the complex liquor.
