The eight day run of the Newport Beach Film Festival will come to a close tonight with the west coast premiere of CHEF screening at 7:30 p.m. at the Regency Lido Theatre in Newport Beach. Written and directed by Jon Favreau, CHEF tells the story of a chef who loses his restaurant job and starts a food truck business to reclaim his creative promise, while piecing back together his estranged family. The OC Marathon celebrates its 10th anniversary with an incredible scenic course starting at Fashion Island and ending at the OC Fair & Event Center on Sunday, May 4 (as well as OC Half Marathon, Wahoo’s OC 5k and Kids Run the OC). The course covers sections of Pacific Coast Highway, Corona Del Mar, Newport Bay and Back Bay, OC Performing Arts Center, South Coast Plaza, and the Santa Ana River.
