In one of the most unlikely places in Orange County—on Beach Boulevard in Stanton—is a treasure of a restaurant; Park Ave. is well worth the commute. The multiple award-winning Park Ave. is in a class of its own since it boasts its own backyard garden where executive chef David Slay and his staff hand-pick lettuces, fruits, vegetables, herbs and wild flowers harvested for the menu. Join me and OCTA for a special guided hike at Ferber Ranch Preserve, Trabuco Canyon on Saturday, February 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Hosted by Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), this interpretive excursion will take place on the beautiful 400-acre Ferber Ranch Wilderness Preserve, which contains vital wildlife corridors.
