Wine Tasting Benefit for The Wooden Floor

Wine lovers can gather at the Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach on Thursday, Sept. 26 for the 7th annual Keep the Promise: A Wine Tasting Benefit for The Wooden Floor. Guests can taste 14 exquisite wines from around the world, each averaging 96 points and retailing at up to $180 a bottle. All wines have generously collected and donated by Newport Beach residents John and Janice Markley. The benefit helps support The Wooden Floor, an arts-based youth development nonprofit in Santa Ana that has served 75,000 low-income youth since its inception. Ramen fans can savor Mitsuwa Marketplace's Hokkaido Fair in Costa Mesa on Thursday through Sunday. In case you didn't know, Mitsuwa is a bustling food emporium and Japanese department store in Costa Mesa, and it’s the largest Japanese supermarket in the country. During the fair, it will be focusing on the culinary riches from the northern region of Hokkaido, best known for its ramen.
