‘Pieces of Sky’ Book Signing

One of our favorite local boutiques, LuLu Too in Costa Mesa, is hosting book signing event Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.  Noelle Cablay, a Newport Beach resident, wife, and mother of three boys wrote a memoir, “Pieces of Sky” where she shares her personal and often times painful journey through childhood where she suffered neglect, abuse and poverty. Through her unforgettable story she found the power to overcome it. During the book signing take 20% off all merchandise. LuLu Too is at 333 E. 17Th St. in Costa Mesa.

James Beard Benefit at AnQi

t was a Friends of James Beard Benefit Dinner co-chaired by Elizabeth An, Cheryl Holden, Soogie Kang and Britt Meyer like no other when 170 foodies and friends gathered at AnQi by Crustacean at South Coast Plaza. Guests experienced an extraordinary six course menu by acclaimed Guest Chef Daniel Rose, owner of Spring restaurant in Paris, created with Master Chef Helene An and Chef de Cuisine Ron Lee. As You Like It!
