‘Dinosaur 13’ Tonight

The OC Film Society is proud to announce the advance screening of “Dinosaur 13,” the opening night hit from Sundance tonight at the Lido Theater at 7:30 p.m. You can join the OC Film Society and watch the hit documentary, as well as a Q&A following the screening with director Todd Douglas Miller and paleontologist Peter Larson, co-author of “Rex Appeal.” You must be an OC Film Society member to see the film and it’s free for members. Wine Tasting Benefit for the Wooden Floor

Wine lovers can gather at the Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach on Thursday, Sept. 25 for the 8th annual Keep the Promise: Wine Tasting Benefit for The Wooden Floor. Guests can taste 12 exquisite wines from around the world, each averaging 95 points and retailing up to $223 a bottle. All wines have been generously collected and donated by Newport Beach residents John and Janice Markley. The benefit helps support The Wooden Floor, an arts-based youth development nonprofit in Santa Ana that has served 75,000 low-income youth since its inception. In fact, 100 percent of its graduates complete high school on-time and immediately enroll in college. …

In the third "From the Dressing Room" interview at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, Greer's Girl Kelley Moody sat down with “Ghost the Musical” cast members Steven Grant Douglass and Katie Postotnik. This performance is based on the original movie starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg.
