Today, Irvine-based SugarsGone, a startup online consignment marketplace for luxury handbags is celebrating its soft launch at 6:30 p.m. Co-founded by Jennifer Bell and Henri Duong, SugarsGone is on a mission to offer buyers a place to purchase authentic handbags at just a fraction of the price, while donating to charity.   SugarsGone will donate 5% of their gross sales to both the National Domestic Abuse Hotline and Orange County’s The Teen Project dedicated to providing teens aging out of the foster care system with the tools they need to become self-sustaining adults. Food Pantry Friday

One of our favorite local nonprofits, Project Hope Alliance, is dedicated to ending homelessness in Orange County through an innovative rapid rehousing program. Part of their mission also includes PHA’s Food Pantry, which provides non-perishable essentials and personal hygiene items for the many of the families they serve. We’re incorporating a Food Pantry Friday element to announce what is needed most at PHA’s Food Pantry.
