“The Champions” exclusive Screening

Paw Prints in the Sand Animal Rescue will be hosting an exclusive screening of the documentary, “The Champions” on Thursday, April 7 at 6 pm. at the Frida Cinema in Santa Ana. It’s an inspirational documentary about the dogs rescued from the brutal fighting ring on the property of NFL quarterback Michael Vick and the people who risked everything to save them. Following the screening, there will be a wine reception at the Barrel Room. A percentage of ticket and wine sales will be donated to Paw Prints in the Sand, on a mission to reduce shelter overpopulation and put…

Mummy Undergoes 3D Scan in OC

Scientists are performing a virtual autopsy today at the Orange County Global Medical Center on one of the mummies in the Mummies of the World: The Exhibition at Bowers Museum. Anthropologist and Mummy Expert Ildiko Szikossy and Dr. Linda Sutherland are using state-of-the art 3D CT scan technology — a procedure never before conducted on a human mummy at Orange County Global Medical Center, the oldest hospital in Orange County.
