According to the Alzheimer's Association's 2017 Facts & Figures, in Orange County an estimated 50,896 people have Alzheimer's disease and that is expected to increase to 88,639 people in 2030 -- a 74% increase. Alzheimer's disease is the 6th leading cause of death in America, the 5th leading cause of death in California and the 3rd leading cause of death in Orange County in people 65 years and older. Fresh Brothers Supports Hurricane Irma Relief

Fast casual pizza concept Fresh Brothers will donate 20 percent of all sales on Tuesday, Sept. 19 to the American Red Cross to support Hurricane Irma relief efforts in Florida. Last week, they supported relief efforts of Hurricane Harvey. With 19 stores in Southern California, the nearest Fresh Brothers may be 1,500 miles from Houston and more than 2,500 miles from Miami, but the community-focused restaurant wants to do its part toward helping victims affected by both Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. The 26th annual Susan G. Komen Orange County’s Race for the Cure, will take place on Sunday, Sept. 24, at Fashion Island in Newport Beach.
