Off Center Festival Kicks Off!

We’re thrilled that the first Off Center Festival kicks-off Friday through January 21 at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Nine days of contemporary theater, music, hip-hop, poetry, dance and performance art will be filling the stages and arts plaza at OC’s world class venue. The festival brings non-traditional performances and experiences and tickets are affordable—multi packages tickets prices cost $10; single tickets cost $20. The series opens with Chautuaqua! at Samueli Theater on Friday at 7:30 p.m. with Gustavo Arellano; Saturday at 2 p.m. with Erwin Chemerinsky and 7:30 p.m. with Jim Washburn; and Sunday at 3 p.m. with Shelley Hoss. Be ready to be wowed by a new Italian-inspired eaterie in Orange County. Run don’t walk pronto to Cucina Enoteca at Irvine Spectrum for lunch or dinner. It’s the new sister restaurant to Cucina Urbana, a popular eaterie in San Diego’s East Village. On a recent visit we were in food and wine heaven. Not only can you feast on Italian-inspired plates with seasonal ingredients, but you can order wines from an extensive list from its Enoteca (wine shop). OC Weekend: Cut it Off!

Today, Anaheim Ducks fans can join George Parros to help in the fight against cancer by donating their hair at the fifth annual  George Parros Cut for the Kids at The Rinks Huntington Beach Inline to benefit Childhood Leukemia Foundation. Toni & Guy stylists will be volunteering their time and talents to create new short haircuts for those who are donating their hair. Fans can meet George Parros from 5 to 8 p.m. He'll be available for photos and autographs for a $10 donation to the Anaheim Ducks Foundation. It’s the best way to experience local musicians performing folk music, blues, jazz, alternative, electronica, acoustic, metal, pop, hip hop, Latin, surf, rock, punk and DJ spinning.
