Slapfish Supports Bracken’s Kitchen for Hunger Action Month

It’s crazy to think that 21% of children in Orange County are food insecure. When it comes to hunger, every one of us is touched in some way or another. Chef Andrew Gruel, founder of Slapfish, Two Birds & Butterleaf firmly believes this is a problem we can all fix through awareness, dialogue, and action. To help Chef Bill Bracken serve those people suffering from the ongoing effects of poverty and hunger, he’s hosting a month long fundraiser at the original Huntington Beach Slapfish for all of September in support of Bracken’s Kitchen. ‘Hope for the Ocean’ Wyland Exhibit at Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel

The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel will unveil an inspiring exhibition of marine life art by Laguna Beach-based renowned artist Wyland on Friday, Sept. 1. The “Hope for the Ocean” exhibit recognizes his foundation’s new partnership with the United Nations Environment Program in support of the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. The exhibit is open to the public through January 4, 2018 and includes 25 original oil paintings, Chinese sumi brush paintings, giclees on canvas, aluminum, watercolors, a bronze sculpture, and a mixed media coffee table.  Wyland has built an international reputation for his commitment to marine life conservation, most notably through…
