If you’re a kid in band, here’s an opportunity you don’t want to pass up. Young bands (members ages 5 to 17 years old) can compete in the first Music for A Cure’s Rock It OC, a battle of the bands, by submitting video entries by Friday. Finalists will play a 15-minute live set during the July 17 concert from 2 to 4 p.m. at South Coast Plaza’s Garden Terrace. Legacy of Isamu Noguchi!

It’s opening night, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., for the first exhibition in California to focus on the legacy of Japanese-American artist and designer Isamu Noguchi.
