Today is the day, you can reserve Elon Musk’s Tesla Model 3---designed to be the most affordable Tesla. The Model 3 is just one of Musk’s impressive dreams—solar power for all, traveling to Mars—and bringing electric cars to the masses. At Tesla’s showroom at Fashion Island, you can put down $1,000 to pre-order the Model 3, expected to arrive late 2017. The Model 3 is priced at $35,000 before tax incentives and on par with other electric cars from Nissan, GM and BMW.
