Next Generation Paint Out

The Laguna College of Art and Design (LCAD), recognized as one of the top art schools in the country will be participating in the Next Generation Paint Out, a live painting competition on October 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Heisler Park in Laguna Beach. Master plein air painters will mentor students of LCAD’s undergraduate, post-baccalaureate and graduate Fine Arts programs., all of whom will compete for top honors. Decorative Arts Society’s Annual Lecture Series

The Decorative Arts Society of Orange County (DARTS) will kick off its 22nd annual reception and lecture series on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 10 a.m. at the Edwards Big Newport Theatre with executive director Gwen Stauffer of Lotusland in Santa Barbara. Lotusland is the former estate of Madame Ganna Walska, a celebrated opera diva who developed Lotusland into incredible gardens with extraordinarily diverse plant collections.
