METROLINK TO SHERATON CARLSBAD!

May 23, 2012

Review by Sheryll Alexander We are excited about any Euro-style getaway in Southern California, so we were intrigued when we booked a weekend getaway aboard Metrolink to The Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa and Legoland. Would we encounter public transportation nightmares or would it be a no-car dream vacation come true? As in most realities, it was a little of both. We departed the historic Santa Ana Train Depot on a sunny Saturday evening around 5:30 p.m. We hopped on a cool Metrolink commuter train for the 70-minute trip south to Oceanside. We are Happy at Hotel Laguna!

May 10, 2012

Review by Jennifer Morris Historic Hotel Laguna is certainly more than just a place to rest your head. On the contrary, Hotel Laguna is an iconic boutique hotel. Nestled in the heart of downtown Laguna Beach and overlooking Main Beach, this charming hotel provides scenic atmosphere, comfortable rooms and impeccable hospitality for tourists and locals alike. “Build it and they shall come” must have been the mantra of Hotel Laguna when it was constructed in the late 19th century. It is recognized to be the first hotel and first substantial business building in Laguna Beach. However, do not let its…
