Mixing it Up for Summer in Santa Ana

This summer, you can taste some of the best cocktails and specials in OC at Mix Mix Kitchen Bar, a critically acclaimed global dining concept in Downtown Santa Ana. Award-winning chef Ross Pangilinan’s new summer drinks will transport you to the tropics with aromatic ingredients like passionfruit, crushed pineapple, and ripe plums intensified with inventive housemade syrups, bitters and infusions.

In addition to its new summer cocktails, Mix Mix Kitchen Bar will offer special promotions on Wednesday and Saturdays. On Wednesday, you can enjoy complimentary wine pairings with each course of his 4-course prix-fixe dining menu.

Priced at $45 per guest, the 4-course prix-fixe menu allows guests to select one dish from each section of the menu. On Saturday mornings, Pangilinan will host private cooking classes beginning at 11 a.m. Available for small parties of 4-10, Pangilinan’s classes are hands-on and intimate. Chef Ross will teach guests how to prepare a 3-course custom menu of globally inspired dishes, which will change weekly. Cost per person is $100 and includes the cooking class, a three-course meal, as well as champagne & mimosas.

The following cocktails are new additions to beverage program at Mix Mix Kitchen Bar:

Red Rum  - dark rum, mandarin liqueur, cherry bark bitters, dry vermouth
Little "Suze Thyme” - scotch, suze, honey, Bolivar bitters, lemon oil, sugar
Take Me Out - gin, dry vermouth, Mezcal, chareau, lemon oil, sugarNothing Less - Junipero gin, lychee syrup, lemon-lime juice, passion fruit meringue
The Gator - mezcal, cucumber, green chartreuse, watermelon shrub, soda
Chef’s Inspiration - "The Signature" Vodka - vodka, SB plums, vanilla-lemongrass syrup, lemon aromatic bitters
3 Dots and a Dash - J.M. rum, aged rum, citrus, honey, falernum, allspice, bitters
Hawaiian Mai Tai - rum trio, pineapple, citrus, orgeat, orange liqueur
Raines Duct - Batavia Arrack, Swedish punsch, lime, grapefruit & pineapple, creme de cacao

Open Tuesday - Thursday from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Brunch is offered every Sunday from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Mix Mix Kitchen Bar is at 300 N. Main St. in the heart of Downtown Santa Ana.
