MAINPLACE MALL Hosts VIRTUAL ART WALK EVENT

MainPlace Mall in Santa Ana will host a live one-hour Virtual Art Walk beginning Saturday, May 9th, at 3 p.m. During the live event, which will be hosted on the center’s Facebook page, there will be two musical performances, one artist beginning – and completing – an entire painting during the event, and a workshop where participants can follow along to create their own work of art using easily accessible materials.

Before the May 9th event begins, participants are asked to go for a walk to collect the following items that they will use to create their own Mother’s Day-themed piece of art during the workshop portion of the Virtual Art Walk event: leaves, grass, flowers (removed from stems), petals, a small rock, and paper or cardstock.

May 9th Performance Schedule
3:00 p.m.: Welcome and Introduction: Host welcomes guests and opens the program
3:05 p.m.: Live Painting Event: Roger Eyes R. begins his painting; his artwork will be re-visited intermittently throughout the live event, and the painting will be completed before the event concludes
3:15 p.m.: Flamenco Presentation: Claudia de La Cruz will demonstrate the art of Flamenco dancing and host a mini Flamenco class
3:35 p.m.: Art Workshop: An art workshop with audience participation will be hosted by local art instructor Yenny Bernal
3:45 p.m.: Musical Performance: A live musical performance by SAINT
4:00 p.m.: Painting Completion: Roger Eyes R. will complete his painting and the event’s host will close the program
