Laguna Beach Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa Celebrates Earth Day With Sustainable Initiatives
With Earth Day around the corner on Saturday, April 23, it’s nice to know that Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa implemented standout sustainability initiatives. In addition to green programs, water-saving standards, eco-friendly initiatives, and extensive recycling programs, the property prides itself on taking the extra step in sustainability, including:
- Green Renovation to The Spa: The Spa at Laguna Cliffs underwent a Green Renovation, which included upcycling of reclaimed wood, and recycled glass, and the repurposing of existing elements such as cabinetry, mirrors, and lockers.
- Guest Room Eco-Initiatives: In addition to all room patio furniture being made from recycled milk jugs, each guest room boasts water flow restricting devices, low flow shower heads, plus motion and heat detection sensor activated thermostats to provide up to 30% more energy savings per occupied room.
- Housekeeping: The uniforms for housekeeping staff are made out of recycled material (water bottles), and the eco-friendly laundry facility in use is the only LEED Certified laundry facility in California.
