Become a member of the Orange County Film Society today, for just $99 you’ll be the first to see 8 award-winning advance screenings of films and interesting lectures that you wouldn’t normally have access to. Plus, you’ll receive 4 tickets to the Newport Beach Film Fest, April 26 to May 3. On Tuesday at 7:30 pm. the OC Film Society is showing a special advance screening of “Bully” at the Regency Lido Theater in Newport Beach, followed by a panel featuring psychologist and expert on bullying, Dr. Jerry Weichman. The new documentary film Bully, directed by Sundance and Emmy-award winning filmmaker Lee Hirsch, offers an intimate look at how bullying has influenced the life of five kids and their families.

Bully sheds a light into the pained and often endangered lives of bullied kids, revealing a problem that transcends geographic, racial, ethnic and economic borders and captures a growing movement to change how bullying is handled in schools, in communities and in society.

Sunday Mimosa Brunch

false  They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We say why not add in a mimosa, a good cause, and call it a brunch? Lightopia, the Laguna Beach lighting store, is bringing food donated by local restaurants to the ASID Dream Home this Sunday for a special mimosa brunch. We’ve raved about the Dream Home concept all week and this is your chance to walk through the home while munching on Shirley’s Bagels, Plums, Zinc Café, and many more. The mimosa brunch will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as well. Come out and enjoy the most important meal of Sunday.

Mimosa Brunch presented by Lightopia at Soco. Sunday, March 18th 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. 3303 Hyland Ave, Costa Mesa. Tickets are $25 online at asidocc.org or $30 at the door.
